About the Bride
Born in Milwaukee, WI, Ashley was an outgoing girl. Ashley stayed busy growing up as a competitive baton twirler, dancer and ice skater. It was at age 7 when Ashley begged mom and dad to let her try her first pageant and she fell in love with being on stage. A graduate of Pius XI High School, Ashley spent her teen years as captain of the dance team and performing at Walt Disney World. She followed in her dad's footsteps and attended Marquette University where she graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & Public Relations.
Ashley loves traveling, making Brandon laugh, retail therapy, trying new restaurants and catching up on reality television shows. In her free time, she also loves running and training for half marathons.
About the Groom
Brandon was born and raise in Omaha, NE. Growing up, he stayed active playing baseball He's one smart cookie having been a Scott Scholar at the PKI Institute at the University of Nebraska where he received his Master of Architectural Engineering. When Brandon isn't hard at work, he likes to travel, golf and watch movies in his home theatre. Together, Brandon and Ashley love to snuggle their little 5 lb dog, Giavanna.
How They Met
It all started in August 2004 when Ashley competed in the National American Miss Wisconsin Teen pageant. Brandon was the videographer and Ashley's mom had ordered a DVD of the pageant. When the National pageant came around in November and Ashley still had not received her DVD of her crowning moment, Ashley and her mom found Brandon and wanted to know where her DVD was.
The next summer Ashley and Brandon became good friends and began talking on the phone to each other every night at 10 p.m. for hours on end. In August 2006 while Ashley was a Junior at Marquette University and Brandon was beginning his Master's program at UNO, the two started dating long distance between Wisconsin and Nebraska seeing each other as often as they could.
In 2008 after Ashley graduated from school, she moved to Nebraska to be with Brandon. He bought her a maltipoo in the mean time to keep her company.
